John is a retired Deputy Sheriff from Pima County, Arizona, has served as a Special Deputy US Marshal (USMS), and additionally served 9 years in the Army National Guard as a Scout / Recon Platoon Assistant Squad Leader and Rear Area Operations Center, Operations Sergeant.

During John's tenure as a Deputy Sheriff, he earned training in various disciplines including: FAA Flying Armed, Interviewing Defendants & Witnesses, Mediation

Training with Special Emphasis Organizational Conflict in Education and Employment Discrimination, Calibre Press -Street Survival, Detective & New Criminal Investigator Certification, Street Survival Tactical Edge Seminar, Rolling Clan Labs & amp; Identification Search & Seizure, Miranda & Voluntariness and Juvenile Law & Confessions. 

John currently engages in Private Security, Executive Protection, and Training. In this role, John provides armed protection for high-value individuals including well-

known political and public figures, detects & deters workplace violence threats, supports and advises in-house corporate security, and also engages in sensitive material protection and delivery. While in his law enforcement and military positions, John served as an Instructor in: Tactical Driving, High Risk Stops, 4x4 Driving, Small Arms - Pistol, Small Arms - Rifle, Small Unit Tactics and CPR. He was additionally certified as a

civilian EMT and a military Combat LifeSaver.

John holds and currently instructs NRA courses in:  Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Carry

Concealed Weapon and is a Chief Range Safety Officer.
